Harry Potter Sightseeing Package

Day1
Depart London Hotel. The magic starts at Kings Cross Station in London. This railway station serves trains that depart to the Northeast England and Scotland. We can look for the invisible track number 9 and three quarters. In case we cant find it we will look at track number 4, where scenes from the movie were shot. We leave London and drive to Oxford and visit Christ Church College, one of the oldest colleges that comprise Oxford. The large dining Hall was used to film scenes at Hogwarts Main Hall. The Bodleian library at Christ Church reportedly houses a copy of every book ever published - happy reading! Overnight York.

Day 2

York, a charming medieval town. We visit the magnificent York Minster and the Shambles a small street with medieval houses. We continue on to North York Moors National Park
and visit the magical village of Goethland. The local train station was the setting Hogsmead Station, where Hogswarts Express arrived. Continue on to Durham, one of the prettiest
Cathedral Towns in England. Many Hogwarts scenes were filmed in and around the Cathedral as well as in the cloister. Overnight Durham.

Day 3
This morning we visit Alnwick Castle just south of the Scottish border. Several scenes were filmed here, including the flying broom classes and the Quiddich games. The castle turrets, walls and drawbridge were a perfect setting for the movie. After a visit to the castle we drive south to Chester. This beautiful medieval town contains half timbered houses and unique 'Rows' two storied shops that link the streets. Overnight Chester.

Day 4

Today's drive is to Gloucester where the Gloucester Cathedral was used extensively in the filming of the movie. Scenes were filmed including the 'Warm Room' and the sacristy, where Professor Snape dungeon classes were shot.
The corridors were used for the scenes with Mrs. Norris the nasty cat. We overnight in Winchester.
?

Day 5
This morning we visit the Cathedral Close of Salisbury, one of the largest Cathedrals in England. We also explore the medieval town around it. From there we proceed to the

including those at Gagrids thatched stone cottage

were filmed in the park. Overnight London.
