KUOPIO SAVONLINNA KUOPIO in Finnish Lakeland area
This canoeing product connects two most popular summer destinations
for tourists in Finland Kuopio and Savonlinna. Water route between
cities is approximately 170 km and is known as the most beautiful route
in Finnish Lakeland area.
There are several options for clients, since they can combine their
canoeing trip with cruise boat. This is possible because of a regular
scheduled cruise between cities. On the way there are 9 canals and other
stops, where participants can step on board of m/s Puijo ship. Canoes are
taken on to the cruise boat, which makes planning of the trip very
convenient; participants can decide on the way, which parts of the route
they like to go by canoe and which parts by boat.
Trip starts always from Kuopio. Canoeing begins from Rauhalahti
Holiday Centre and cruises naturally from the passenger harbour of
Kuopio. In the Adventure Kuopio's Rauhalahti Canoeing Centre
professional canoeing guides give the needed equipment, instructions
and tips for the trip. During the whole trip, participants can contact
personally the staff of Adventure Kuopio in any case help is needed. Trip
can be also done guided by extra request and additional costs.
For accommodation there are several choices like tents, cottages, hotels and cabins on the cruise
boat. Accommodation can be booked beforehand, or in the canoeing centre in Rauhalahti.

Saturday Arrival & accommodation in Rauhalahti Holiday Centre. Possibility for
canoeing & other activities.
Sunday Kuopio Canoeing training day with guides in Kallavesi or free time in the city of
Kuopio. Overnight in Rauhalahti cottages. Include breakfast.
Monday Savonlinna Canoeing from Kuopio to Ritoniemi. Accommodation in cottages. Include
breakfast and dinner.
Tuesday Kuopio Canoeing from Ritoniemi to Vehmersalmi and step on board to cruise boat.
Cruise to Karvio and accommodation in Karvio camping cottages. Include
breakfast and dinner.
Wednesday Savonlinna Canoeing from Karvio to Hein?vesi. Accommodation in Farmhouse
Bed&Breakfast Kotipuro. Include breakfast and dinner.
Thursday Kuopio Step on board to boat or go by canoe from Hein?vesi to Kerma, where step
on board to Savonlinna. Accommodation on boat. Possibility to see the
sights of Savonlinna or participate in Savonlinna Opera Festival. Include
breakfast.
Friday Savonlinna Get on board cruise boat to Kuopio. Accommodation for last night in Sokos
Hotel Puijonsarvi. Include breakfast and lunch.
Saturday Departure. Include breakfast.
Total package price for proposal $1148.00 person, minimum 2 participants. Price includes
accommodation, canoe rent, a map (two life jackets and paddles for canoe and one set per cayak),
cruise tickets two ways, breakfast, lunch and dinners according to program.
Program proposal 2. Start from Kuopio on Monday.
This way to do the trip is more cost effective. Accommodation will be by two persons in cabin or a
double room.

cabins.
Tuesday Kuopio Canoeing from Ritoniemi to Vehmersalmi and step on board to cruise
boat. Cruise to Karvio and accommodation in Karvio camping tents or
small cabins.
Wednesday Savonlinna Canoeing from Karvio to Hein?vesi. Accommodation in Farmhouse
Bed&Breakfast Kotipuro in tents or double rooms.
Thursday Kuopio => Step on board to boat or go by canoe from Hein?vesi to Kerma, where
step on board to Savonlinna. Accommodation on boat. Possibility to see

Friday Savonlinna Get on board of the cruise boat to Kuopio.
Price for proposal 2 is $694.00 person, minimum 2 participants. Price includes canoe rent, a map
(two life jackets and paddles for canoe and one set per cayak) accommodation four nights (in tents
or small basic cabins and one night on board cruise boat) and cruise tickets two ways.

effective. Accommodation will be by two person in cabin or a double room.
