2006 SUMMER FINLAND TOURS
Tour 1. Finland King's Road Tour Package for individuals. From $1440 p.p. twin land only. 9 days/ 8 nights (Friday, Sunday or Tuesday departures from the U.S. June 03-September 13) Other dates on request
Day 1. Depart from the U.S. on SAS with quick easy connection in Copenhagen/Stockholm.
Day 2. Arrival in Helsinki
Arrive in Helsinki (Saturday, Monday or Wednesday to fit with the regular tours that are included)
Stay at Scandic Hotel Continental Helsinki or similar, a first class hotel situated on the main street Mannerheimintie, the hotel overlooks Finlandia Hall and the beautiful Hesperia Park and T??l?nlahti Bay.
The convenient airport bus service stops right by the Scandic Continental Hotel.
Accommodation for three nights in standard twin-bedded room, including
service charges and breakfast.
Day 3. In Helsinki
Helsinki, founded by King Gustavus Wasa in 1550, is Finland's cosmopolitan capital on the Baltic, where east blends with west. It is one of Europe's most welcoming and vibrant cities and was elected one of the European Cultural Cities in 2000.
Start with a regular sightseeing tour of Helsinki - duration 1.5 hours - hourly from 10am to 2pm (pick-up from hotels for certain departures at no extra cost, no return transfer to the hotels). See basic information below since it may change without notice:
The basic city tour (ca 1.5 hours) takes in the most important and interesting parts of Helsinki, such as the historical center and the Senate Square, the diplomatic quarters, the Presidential Palace, City Hall, the Parliament building, Finlandia Hall and the Opera House. The bus stops at Sibelius Monument and, when possible, at the Temppeliaukio Church:
A. Daily all year at 10.00 am from Olympic Terminal (Silja Line harbour) - guidance (multilingual guide) only in English and Swedish. Pick-up: 9.15 Scandic Hotel Continental.
B. Daily May to September: at 11.00am & 1.00pm from the corner of Esplanadi Park and Fabianinkatu Street. Coaches have guidance (headphones) in English and other languages.
C. Daily June to August: at 10.00am, 12.00pm, 14.00pm from the corner of Esplanadi Park and Fabianinkatu Street. Coaches have guidance (headphones) in English and other languages.
Day 4. In Helsinki
Regular excursion to the idyllic town of Porvoo, Finland second oldest city dating from 1346. Departure at 12.30pm from Esplanade Park and Fabianinkatu Street. Duration: 4 hours.
Day 5. Helsinki to Turku
Depart by train ticket from Helsinki to medieval Turku, Finland's oldest town and former capital.
Arrive in Turku and transfer included to the nearby town of Naantali dating from 1443 where you will stay at the Naantali Spa, the most modern and up-to-date health spa in Scandinavia located by the sea on a small cape.
Accommodation for two nights in standard twin-bedded room, including
Service charge, breakfast and transfer from Turku Railway Station to Naantali Spa.
Day 6. Sightseeing in Turku Enjoy the Turku Card for one day. Holders? of the Turku Card will get the city sightseeing tour for a discounted price (approx. 50% off), a visit to the Cathedral and Castle are included in the tour. The card also offers discounts at shops and restaurants, free entrance to museums, transportation, etc. Overnight at Naantali Spa.
Day 7. Turku to Stockholm
In the evening depart for Stockholm by Silja Line Baltic Cruise (accommodation in twin cabin, Seaside class). Enjoy excellent dining and entertainment on board (not included in basic cost). Cabin includes service charge and breakfast.
Day 8. Arrival in Stockholm
Arrive in Stockholm, Sweden's capital, built on fourteen islands, with the City Hall,
the Old Town and the unique Vasa Museum, and the new Museum of Modern Art.
Stay at the Scandic Sergel Plaza or similar, a centrally located hotel. The Restaurant Anna Bella joining with two separate dining rooms offers classic and new gourmet cuisine. Separate Relax and Spa department. Twin-bedded room with breakfast, tax and service charge is included.
Day 9. Departure from Stockholm.
Depart Stockholm after breakfast or optional extension.

This program is quoted in USD and based on a minimum of 1-2 persons in the group. No reservations have been made so far and all items and services are subject to availability at the time you ask us to book them.
We reserve the right to revise the costing in the event of increases in tax, service charges, fuel costs and other such events beyond our control. Prices are subject to change during large conferences and other major events. All prices are payable in USD and are subject to fluctuations in exchange rates.

2) Bus from Turku to Rauma or v.v. (no buses from Naantali to Rauma and no buses from Rauma to Turku Harbor): EUR17 p.p. (approx. $22) paid locally.
